Description:
The Applicants were members of a Club and, with the Co-Applicant NSO, lodged an application with the NST for arbitration of a dispute with the Respondents, being the Club, Club President and SSO. The dispute related to multiple alleged breaches of the NSO Member Protection Policy and Codes of Behaviour by the Respondents in relation to their actions/inaction in dealing with a criminal matter that occurred at an event in 2018. The parties settled the dispute between themselves on the day of the arbitration and the Applicants received apologies which were published. In 2022, the NSO adopted the National Integrity Framework thereby enhancing the integrity and dispute resolution processes within the sport at all levels.
