Tracy Wallace v Netball Victoria (with Netball Australia)
Under clause 14.2.1.2 of Netball Australia’s Conduct and Disciplinary Policy, the Applicant, a netball coach, disputed the substantiated allegations made against her and the proposed sanction set out in a Breach Notice. The Breach Notice was issued by Netball Victoria, the Respondent. Netball Australia was the relevant National Sporting Organisation. The findings made against the Applicant related to alleged breaches of both Netball Victoria and Netball Australia policies related to child safeguarding and member protection.
The alleged breaches occurred between 2017 and 2025.
The NST Member considered submissions and evidence from the Applicant, the Respondent and the National Sporting Organisation, together with oral evidence from witnesses called, across eight days of hearing.
In summary, the NST Member upheld the majority of the substantiated allegations and determined that, amongst other things, the Applicant be banned from all netball related activities undertaken by Netball Victoria and Netball Australia for a period of 10 years, commencing 11 February 2025.
This Determination was appealed by the Respondent, which is prescribed case reference NST-E26-588.
