Jacquyline Noske v Boxing Australia
The Applicant, Ms Jacquyline Noske, is a boxing coach and a member of Boxing Australia. The Respondent, Boxing Australia, is the National Sporting Organisation for boxing in Australia.
Following an investigation into complaints regarding the Applicant’s conduct at a Boxing Australia sanctioned event in October 2025, the Respondent found that the Applicant had breached the Boxing Australia Code of Conduct. On 14 November 2025, the Respondent imposed a six‑month ban on Ms Noske from attending Boxing Australia sanctioned activities, events and camps (the Sanction).
The Applicant appealed the Sanction under Boxing Australia’s Complaints, Disputes & Discipline Policy and lodged an application with the National Sports Tribunal (the Application).
The Application proceeded in the NST General Division before a single NST Member. The Applicant contended that the Sanction imposed by Boxing Australia was disproportionate to the substantiated conduct and that the disciplinary process lacked procedural fairness.
In summary, the NST Member found that Boxing Australia afforded the Applicant procedural fairness, properly applied its disciplinary framework, and exercised its discretion within an appropriate range. The NST Member was not satisfied that the Sanction was unreasonable or disproportionate in the circumstances.
The Application was therefore dismissed, and the Sanction was upheld.
